About

My name is Mairin Loewen and I'm running for re-election to City Council in Ward 7, where I grew up and am now raising my family. I attended school in Ward 7 and later earned a B.A. from Carleton University and an M.A. in Political Studies from the University of Saskatchewan. I have spent most of my career in public policy, and in 2013 I co-founded Girls Rock Saskatoon, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth and adults through music. In addition to volunteering with GRS, I have been a volunteer for the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, CFCR, the Open Door Society, and the Heart of the City Piano Program.

It has been an honour to serve on Council since 2011. In my time on Council, investments have increased in roads, sidewalks, back lanes, watermains, parks, and traffic safety. We’ve made great progress in creating a forward-looking plan for Saskatoon’s future. I’m asking for your support on November 9th to ensure we can continue to build a sustainable, efficient, and inclusive future for our City.

I look forward to connecting with you throughout the campaign. Please get in touch to share your questions, concerns, and ideas with me.
